A rare and unusual Swiss, keyless, 18K yellow gold and blue enamel pendant watch, circa 1890. A solid pierced and engraved hinged case back with ornate central initials over an engine-turned translucent royal blue enamel cuvette. White enamel dial with inner Roman numerals, outer minute track and outermost oversized Arabic five-minute numerals, subsidiary seconds. Yellow gold Louis XIV hands. A gilt movement, captive barrel, 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Movement signed.
