An English 18 carat gold open-faced three gong quarter repeating verge pocket watch with a skeletonized dial, circa 1820. Full plate gilt fusee movement, bridge cock finely pierced and engraved in a star pattern, garnet endstone in a blue steel setting, plain three armed gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring, silver regulator dial with blue steel indicator, push pendant repeating, three polished steel hammers striking three steel gongs for the quarters. White enamel ring dial, glazed open center with pierced and engraved mask revealing the polished steel repeating work and pierced motion work, Arabic numerals, and blued steel Breguet hands. Engine-turned case with rope middle, gold push pendant. Wound through the sprung gilt cuvette.
