An American rose gold keyless wind minute repeating split second chronograph pocket watch by Tiffany & Co., circa 1880. Jewelled Swiss lever movement, cut and compensated bimetallic balance, polished steel chronograph work, two polished hammers striking on two gongs. White enamel dial, black Arabic numerals, outer 1/5th second and minute track, subsidiary seconds at 6, blued steel spade hands and centre chronograph hands. 14 Carat open face case, polished round hinged, chronograph activated via stem, split second button at 11, repeat slide at 3. Case stamped ‘AFC’, dial signed Tiffany & Co.
