A decorative and heavy Swiss 18 carat gold hunting cased one-minute tourbillon pocket watch made for the Spanish market, circa 1860. Bridge movement, chain and fusee, a spring detent escapement according to Thomas Earnshaw, gold screw compensation balance. Cuvette inscribed Chronomètre Tourbillon. Silver, engine-turned dial with black Roman hours, outer minute dots, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and applied gold floral decoration. Engine-turned case, maker’s mark AA. Case numbered.
