A fine Swiss 18 carat gold, enamel and diamond set open faced keyless pocket watch, circa 1860. Retailed by G. Confalonieri in Milano-Roma, Italy. The gilt full plate movement with a lever escapement, three arm balance, and cut and compensated balance bridge. White enamel dial with Roman hours, an outer minute track, outermost five minute numerals, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and gilt Louis XV hands. The polished hinged case with the polychrome enamel and diamond set crest of the Royal House of Savoy, King Umberto I of Italy, on the front. Case signed and numbered. Comes with a fitted presentation box and watch chain.
