A Swiss 18 carat gold hunting cased quarter repeating key wind pocket watch made by C. Prost in Vevey, circa 1860. The Swiss lever escapement with a cut and compensated bimetallic balance and two hammers striking on two gongs. White enamel dial with Frederic Behr forming the hour markers, an outer minute track, a decorated center and blued steel hands. The polished hinged case with a black enamelled monogram on the front and repeat slide to the band at 4 o’clock. Cuvette signed, case numbered.
