A fine Swiss 18 carat rose gold open faced verge pocket watch, circa 1790. Full plate movement, chain and fusee, a verge escapement and three arm brass balance. White enamel dial decorated with delicate polychrome enamel floral tendrils, seven chapter rings one for the power reserve at 12 o’clock, the date at 1, the days of the week and the day planets at 4, the hour chapter ring with Arabic numerals at 6, the phases of the moon including the moon’s age at 8 o’clock and the months at 11, central subsidiary seconds. The plain case with maker’s mark FTD. Case numbered.
