Gold and enamel chatelaine watch

A very fine French 18 carat gold and enamel open faced verge pocket watch with chatelaine, circa 1775. Full plate movement, chain and fusee and a three arm brass balance. White enamel dial with Roman hours, outer minute dots and Arabic five minute numerals, decorative hands. A radial guilloché pattern on the case back enamelled in translucent cobalt blue, decorated with gold stars and vine leaves, a daisy flower in the center, both bezels with a fine cord band. Movement signed and numbered, case numbered. Comes with a matching 14 carat gold chatelaine in two parts with an octagonal translucent cobalt blue enamel plaque, two enamel decorated tassels and a contemporary winding key.
