A fine French 18 carat gold and enamel open faced Louis XV pocket watch, circa 1775. The case back has translucent dark blue enamel over an engine turned ground decorated with gilt stars and a concentric row of white enamel faux pearls, as well as an engraved bezel with decorative translucent dark blue champlevé enamel foliage. Verge escapement, the movement is signed and numbered.
