Gold full hunter pocket chronometer

A very fine, heavy pocket chronometer of special quality made in Switzerland, circa 1850. The full hunter case of this watch was crafted from 18 carat gold and is numbered, bears maker’s mark PF and is engine turned on the back and front lid which also has a central vacant cartouche. The white enamel dial has Roman hour numerals, an outer minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and extraordinarily fine and rare fleur de lys hands made of gold and steel. The extremely fine chronometer movement in a special design has a solid gold escapement wheel, solid gold minute wheel, screwed gold chatons, a rocker detent escapement with cylindrical hairspring, Geneva striping finish, a drive via chain and fusee, and ruby end stones.
