Extremely rare Swiss 18 carat gold open faced quarter repeating pocket watch made for the Ottoman market, circa 1840.
Fine Geneva bar movement, cylinder escapement, repeating the hours and quarter hours.
Rare original white enamel dial with blue Ottoman numerals, Breguet hands, steel hour hand and gold minute hand.
Case with splendid engraved Lake scene to the back, reeded rim. Cuvette engraved and signed. Comes with original box.
