An extremely rare Swiss Chronometer with pivoted detent escapement, Charles Henri Grosclaude & Fils, Fleurier, circa 1860.
An 18 carat gold, ” à goutte” hunting case, engine turned, high-quality, heavy, numbered and signed dome, inscribed “CHRONOMETRE” , signed and numbered chronometer movement in English type of construction, very fine quality with screwed golden chatons, helical hairspring, matching number on movement and case, good condition.
Original, signed enamel dial and fine Fleur de Lys steel hand, subsidiary dial, roman numerals.
Important Swiss watch maker, manufacturer of finest complicated pocket watches. Very interesting collector’s watch, good condition of preservation.
