An English gilded silver pair cased repoussé verge pocket watch, circa 1770. Fire gilt full plate movement with fusee and chain, square baluster pillars, a pierced and engraved bridge cock, silver regulator disc, plain three arm steel balance and blue steel spiral hairspring. White enamel dial with Roman hours, an arcaded minute track with outer five minute numerals, the center with a polychrome enamel scene depicting a couple and pierced gilt hands. The inner case with maker’s mark TC in a rectangle, the outer case is decorated in chased and engraved repoussé work showing a classical scene within a rococo border.
