A German silver open faced quarter repeating verge pocket watch with connection to David Roentgen’s workshop, circa 1800. Fine verge movement, repeating the hours and quarters à toc. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals and two coloured gold hands. Plain case. Cuvette signed.

Preudhomme was first mentioned in connection with Roentgen’s workshop in 1776. A small watch by Roentgen is part of the David Collection in Copenhagen and is also signed by Preudhomme. The watch was originally part of the Landrock collection.
