A very fine Swiss 18-carat gold and enamel hunting cased cylinder pocket watch, in the style of the early watches by Patek & Czapek, circa 1850. Bar movement, cylinder escapement. White enamel dial with Roman hours and outer minute divisions, filigree steel Breguet hands. Case engine-turned, reeded band, relief flowers at the rim, translucent dark-blue enamel on both sides, rose-cut diamond-set on the front, the back with a pair of birds inlaid with gold, finely chased and seated on an enamelled rose branch, case maker’s mark BF. Case numbered.
