One of the earliest Swiss deck chronometers made for the French Navy, circa 1915. Original three part mahogany box with ivory plaque, inscribed Fournier. Plain silver case, cuvette inscribed: No. 302 J. Fournier Horloger de la Marine 57 Bd de Montparnasse Paris. Vacheron & Constantin ankerchronometer movement, moustache lever, wolf’s toothing, chronometer balance, fine adjusting device. White enamel dial with Roman numerals and rose gold hands.
