A large and heavy French 18 carat gold open faced repeating musical cylinder pocket watch, circa 1820. Cylinder escapement, two barrels for gear train and music, hourly music. Dial engine-turned in the centre, Roman hours, blued steel hands. Case engine turned on the back, blank cartouche, reeded band, maker’s punch CHI, two lateral sliding bolts to lock repeater and music.
