Turbant
Around 1820, the name Turbant was associated with the thriving horological tradition of Taninges, a village in the Faucigny region of Savoy (France). While broad historical records for individual rural watchmakers are often sparse, the Turbant family was part of a critical period in Savoyard watchmaking. Historical records identify the watchmaker around 1820 as Pierre-Joseph Turbant (often appearing simply as Turbant on watch movements).
