A French 18 carat gold, half skeletonized quarter repeating pocket watch with jacquemart automaton made by Breguet & Fils in Paris, circa 1820. A solid plain, round case, half skeletionized with automaton jacks of cherubs. In the center a small white enamel dial with Arabic numerals and outer minutes. Varicoloured gold jacks appearing to strike bells when the repeating is activated, and blued steel Breguet hands. A gilt brass, full plate movement, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain three arm gilt balance, engraved continental clock, polished under dial repeating work striking with two hammers on two blued steel gongs, activated by depressing the pendant. Signature on the case and movement.
