A Swiss gilt metal, enamel and seed pearl set open faced key wind pocket watch, circa 1870. Gilt full plate movement with fusee verge escapement, pierced and engraved balance bridge, silver regulation. White enamel dial with black Arabic numerals, black outer minute divisions, winding aperture at 2, gilt beetle and poker hands. Gilt consular case, seed pearl set bezels, enamel scene to the reverse depicting a dog drinking from a fountain with colonnades and foliage. Dial signed, movement signed and numbered. Accompanied by gilt chain and fob.
