A heavy, high-quality Swiss 18 carat gold hunting cased pocket chronometer, circa 1860. English chronometer movement, screwed gold chatons, pivoted detent escapement, helical hairspring. Cuvette inscribed Chronomètre. White enamel dial with Roman hours and outer minute divisions, subsidiary seconds and fine steel fleur-de-lys hands. Engine-turned case. Case numbered, dial signed, cuvette and movement signed and numbered, movement and case with matching numbers.
