A unique Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel open faced ankerchronometer pocket watch, circa 1860. Exquisite ankerchronometer movement, wolf’s toothing, chronometer balance, gold screws, very large moustache lever as it was also used by Patek Philippe. Cuvette inscribed Chronomètre. Decorative white enamel dial with black Roman hours, gold Arabic minutes and gold subsidiary seconds, original steel fleur de lys hands. Case with very fine en grisaille enamel painting on the back, case maker’s punch AE. Case numbered, cuvette signed and numbered,
