An extraordinary large Swiss silver-gilt and enamel verge pocket watch made for the Chinese market, circa 1850. Glazed movement, splendidly gilt and completely decorated duplex movement. White enamel dial with Roman hours and Arabic quarters, centre seconds steel hands. Case on both sides set with half pearls, coined band, the back with polychrome enamel painting Summer Flower Bouquet and spring lid mechanism. Case numbered.
