Very fine Swiss 18 carat gold open faced keyless wind pocket watch made for the Brazilian market, circa 1907. Gilded brass movement with going barrel, train of gold wheels, straight line equilibrated lever escapement, à moustaches, compensated balance with gold poising screws and blued steel hairspring with terminal curve, patented index regulator with swanneck spring and micrometric screw. White enamel dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, subsidiary seconds at 6. Hinged guilloché case back. Cuvette engraved in ‘taille douce’ Chronometro Gondolo Fabricado expressamente para Gondolo & Labouriau Relojoeiros Rio de Janeiro. Dial signed, case and movement signed and numbered.
