Silver anker chronometer from the French Navy

One of the earliest Swiss silver open faced deck chronometers made for the French Navy, circa 1915. An anker chronometer movement by Vacheron & Constantin with wolf’s toothing, a chronometer balance, fine adjusting device and moustache lever. White enamel dial with Roman hour numerals, an outer minute track, sunk subsidiary seconds and rose gold spade hands. The plain case with a cuvette inscribed No. 302

. Case and movement numbered, cuvette signed and numbered. Comes with the original mahogany box with an ivory plaque, inscribed Fournier No. 302.
