A very fine Swiss 18 carat gold, enamel and pearl set open faced center seconds pocket watch made for the Chinese market, circa 1860. Mirror polished steel movement, Chinese calibre, standing barrel, duplex escapement, bimetallic compensation balance with blued steel wedgeshaped weights, flat balance spring. White enamel dial with Roman numerals. Red translucent enamel over engine turning and centered polychrome enamel summer bouquet to the case back, both sides pearl set.
