A fine and very rare French 18 carat rose gold open faced verge pocket watch, circa 1765. Skeletonized verge movement. White enamel dial with Roman hours and Arabic five minutes, original silver hands decorated with stones. The case back with fine polychrome enamel scene, both sides set with stones, on the inside a very rare landscape painting in violet enamel. Dial signed.

The particularity of the watch consists in the enamel painting on both sides which is in excellent original condition, and in the skeletonized movement, which is very rare for enamel verge watches, especially in the lady’s size.
