A very fine French 18K gold and enamel pocket watch, circa 1765. The Harbour view by Hebert. A Louis XV case, the back with a painted on enamel view of a harbour, a classical building and a gentleman on horseback in the foreground, enamel pearl border, the outer border and bezel decorated with pale blue champlevé enamel.

White enamel dial, radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and large Arabic five-minute numerals, gold Louis XV hands. A hinged gilt brass full plate movement, turned pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, brass three-arm balance with flat spring, continental cock pierced and engraved with scrolls, polished steel endplate, rack and pinion regulator with silver plate. Movement signed.
