A unique and very fine Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel open faced pocket chronometer, circa 1860. Anker chronometer movement, wolf’s toothing, chronometer balance with gold screws, moustache lever as it was also used by Patek Philippe. Cuvette inscribed Chronometre. Decorative white enamel dial with black Roman hours, gold Arabic five minutes and gold subsidiary seconds, original steel fleur de lys hands, dial with a fine old hairline. Case with very fine en grisaille enamel scene on the back, case maker’s punch AE. Case numbered, cuvette signed and numbered.
