A rare English 18 carat gold pair cased half-quarter repeating repoussé verge pocket watch, circa 1730. Decorated verge movement, repeating the hours, quarter hours and half-quarters on a bell or on the case. White enamel dial with Roman hours and Arabic five minutes, extravagant steel hands, the dial with small peripheral hairlines. Repoussé outer case, a prime quality case comparable to pieces by George Micheal Moser, pierced, the inner case also pierced with mythical creatures and birds, bell. Cuvette and movement signed.
