An English 20 carat gold pair cased quarter repeating verge in very fine gold repousse pair cases, circa 1740.
Full plate fire gilt movement with silver dust cover, signed Lekceh London.
Pierced and engraved cock with polished steel coqueret gilt regulator disc, pierced and engraved foot and plate. Fusee and chain, square baluster pillars. Plain three-arm steel balance, blue steel spiral hairspring.
White enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, pierced gold hands. Pierced and engraved gold inner case, gold push pendant and bow. Gold outer case, the repousse back decorated with a classical scene, pierced and engraved around the edge and on the front bezel. Nicely worked 20 carat outer case of repousse work.
