A fine Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel hunting cased lever pocket watch made for the Ottoman market, circa 1840. Very fine bridge movement, lever escapement with special lever, 19 jewels, very fine compensation balance, key winding. Engraved cuvette. Original white enamel dial with Ottoman numerals and outer minute divisions, steel Breguet hands. Case magnificently enamelled on both sides, the front showing various musical instruments and a musical book, the back with a floral scene. Cuvette signed and numbered, case and movement with matching numbers.
