An early, small and very fine French 18 carat gold open faced quarter repeating Lépine pocket watch, circa 1840. Early French lever movement with shock absorber and special lever, key winding, repeating the hours and quarter-hours. Original white enamel dial with Roman hours and outer minute divisions, gold Breguet hands. Case engine-turned on the back, fine coined band. Case signed and numbered.
