An elegant French 18 carat gold, enamel and diamond-set open faced Lépine pendant watch, circa 1840. Early French bar movement, cylinder escapement. Screwed white enamel dial with Roman hours and outer minute divisions, gold Breguet hands. Case engine-turned on the back, blue enamelled and set with rose-cut diamonds. Cuvette signed and numbered. Comes with original gold and enamel watch chain with matching gold key, two screwed clasps, weight circa 10 g.
