An interesting, early and rare Swiss 18 carat gold hunting cased pocket chronometer made for the Turkish market, circa 1850. Early bar movement with pivoted detent escapement, key winding. Very fine four-coloured gold dial with Turkish numerals, engraved in the centre, subsidiary seconds and original hands. Engine-turned case with relief band and engraving. Cuvette signed and numbered.
