Eduard Koehn (1839-1908) succeeded with Patek Philippe from simple watchmaker to director. He was born in Germany and studied at the watchmaking school in Geneva. Afterwards, he started as a simple watchmaker with Patek Philippe and became later a partner. In 1891 Eduard Koehn bought the company H.R. Ekegren. The quality awareness he acquired during his years at Patek Philippe was reflected later in the watches he designed and manufactured himself. He delivered many of his extremely fine pocket watches to the USA, including to Tiffany in New York.
