An exquisite and early French 18 carat gold half hunting cased astronomical pocket watch with five complications, circa 1870. Ankerchronometer movement, rare Louis Audemars escapement, large chronometer balance, gold wheels, special lever, wolf’s toothing. White enamel dial with Roman hours and Arabic five minutes, the indication of days of the week, the date, aperture for the months, moon phases and moon age, gold hands. Engine turned case by Louis Audemars. Case numbered, cuvette signed.
