A French gold and enamel open faced pre hairspring verge pocket watch, circa 1650. Gilt full plate verge movement, baluster pillars, pierced and engraved balance cock.
White enamel chapter ring with Roman hours and half-hour markers, the centre with translucent green enamel over an engine-turned ground and foliate decoration. A polychrome enamelled case with a landscape painted on the interior and a figure within a landscape on the band, the back with translucent green enamel over an engine-turned ground with restorations.
