A yellow gold Swiss enamel hunting cased watch, circa 1850, detached lever movement, bimetallic balance.
White enamel dial, Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds.
Yellow gold case, front case with polychrome enamel scene of a girl and dove and back case with landscape scene, both within an engraved gold and blue enamel motif, case and cuvette numbered, cuvette further signed.

The company Jules Calame-Robert was based in La Chaux-de-Fonds with a branch in London. The company was founded by Jules Edouard Calame. The father of Jules-Edouard founded “Maison Calame-Robert” back in 1820. Two sons of Jules Edouard were business associates in this company, one of them, Jules Calame-Colin, was the president of the watchmaking company in La Chaux-de-Fonds , In La Chaux-de-Fonds, the company was at rue du Parc 4, later the sons built a factory at number 2. Calame-Robert uses Ebauches by Louis Audemars, Fontainemelon FHF, and several others.
