A very fine, rare and extra thin Swiss 18 carat gold cylinder pocket watch, circa 1840. Extra thin, frosted gilt movement, bar caliber, gold wheel train, cylinder escapement, three armed gold balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Gold hinged foliate engraved cuvette. White enamel dial with narrow Roman numerals, outer minute divisions and original blued steel Breguet hands. Case with polished bezel, coin edge band, profusely engraved with foliate scrolls to the back. Cuvette signed. Accompanied by a gold chain and agate set male key.
