Rose gold keyless lever with 9 complications attributed to Audemars Piguet

An extremely fine and rare Swiss 18 carat rose gold hunting cased minute repeating split-seconds chronograph keyless lever pocket watch with 30-minute register, perpetual calendar, moon phases and lunar calendar, circa 1895. Rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 31 jewels, calibrated straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with temperature adjustment screws, blued steel Breguet balance spring with overcoil, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Gold hinged cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute track, outermost chronograph divisions with fifths of a second divisions and Arabic five second/minute numerals, four subsidiary dials for days of the week, date, months concentric with leap year indication and instantaneous 30-minute register, seconds and aperture for the phases of the moon, lunar calendar on the edge, original gold pear hands. Massive, polished case, push-button for the chronograph at 1, the split-seconds at 11. Case numbered and punched A.F. & Cie.

Very few manufacturers made such highly complicated watches as the present watch and those who did make them were the very best Swiss watch companies including Patek Philippe, Vacheron & Constantin, Louis Audemars and Audemars Piguet. Sometimes, watches destined for export were not signed.
