Gold hunting cased quarter repeater by Girard-Perregaux

A fine Swiss 18 carat gold hunting cased quarter repeating lever pocket watch with dead independent seconds, circa 1860. Gilt brass double train movement with going barrels wound separately, 31 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring, independent seconds train with flirt on the escape wheel pinion and bolt in the band, repeating on gongs with slide in the band. Gold hinged cuvette with engine turned border. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer Arabic 5 minute and minute/seconds track, original blued steel Breguet hands. Massive, engine turned case with ribbed band.  Dial and cuvette signed.
