A fine Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel open faced cylinder pendant watch, circa 1850. Matte gilt movement, bar calibre, 8 jewels, cylinder escapement, three-arm flat-rim balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Hinged gold cuvette. Matte silver dial with painted Roman numerals, applied gold foliate decoration in the centre and at the border, original pierced blued steel hands. Polished case, the back with a painted on enamel scene of a lady in a blue dress seated in a drawing room with her daughter at her knee, engraved border. Cuvette signed.
