Gold and enamel open faced pocket watch

A fine Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel open faced cylinder pendant watch, circa 1850. Matte gilt movement, Ø 27 mm, bar calibre, eight jewels, cylinder escapement, three-arm gold balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman hours, an outer minute track and partially replaced blued steel hands. Cuvette signed, movement numbered. The case back is decorated with a polychrome enamel scene of two Royal ladies in a landscape, a foliate enamel and engraved gold border, polished bezel and reeded band. Accompanied by a short gold chain and ratchet key.
