A fine Swiss 18 carat gold, enamel and pearl set folding lorgnette with concealed watch, circa 1850. Rectangular movement, gilt brass bar caliber, eight jewels, cylinder escapement, plain gilt brass three armed balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute track, set in gold plate with winding, setting and regulating apertures, blued steel Breguet hands. Spring loaded front cover decorated with a pearl set flower on translucent imperial blue guilloché enamel ground, back and handle engraved with foliage against an engine turned background and with imperial blue enamel decoration. Movement punched HG.
