A fine Swiss gold, red enamel, and jade open-faced keyless lever dress watch, circa 1925. Retailed by J. Bancelin. Rhodium-plated, Geneva striping decoration, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Matte gilt dial with painted Arabic numerals, outer minute track, and original blued steel Breguet hands. Case overlaid with opaque red enamel in imitation of lacquer, the back decorated with a gold stylized view of Chinese pavilions in a mountain landscape, circular bow, jade bead winding crown. Dial signed by the retailer.
