Gold and enamel miniature watch

A fine and very rare Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel miniature cylinder pendant watch, circa 1850. Frosted gilt movement, bar calibre, eight jewels, cylinder escapement, three-arm frosted gilt balance with flat blued steel balance spring, index regulator. Gold hinged cuvette. Matte silver dial with Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, engraved flowers in the centre and original gold Breguet hands. Polished case, chased flower and scroll bezel, pendant and bow, coin-edge band, the back cover overlaid with translucent royal blue guilloché enamel, gold paillon flowers in the centre, engraved scroll border. Case numbered.
