A fine Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel open faced cylinder pendant watch made for the Islamic market, circa 1840. Frosted gilt movement, Lépine calibre, cylinder escapement with steel escape wheel, three-arm balance, flat balance spring, index regulator. Gold hinged cuvette with engine-turned decoration. White enamel dial with Islamic numerals, outer minute track and original gold Breguet hands. Chased foliate and flower bezels, the case back with painted on enamel flower bouquet within a foliate engraved and black champlevé enamel border, pendant with three articulated links. Case signed, cuvette signed Breguet.
