A fine and rare, large Swiss sterling silver open faced keyless pocket watch made by Vacheron Constantin SA in Geneva, circa 1940. The frosted gilt bridge caliber movement with 17 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, a straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring and swan neck micrometre regulator. White enamel dial with painted upright Arabic hours, an outer minute track, sunk subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and blued steel Breguet hands. The custom made polished case with a hinged sterling silver cuvette. Dial signed, case numbered, movement signed and numbered.
