Important gold keyless tourbillon lever by James C. Pellaton

An exceptionally fine and important Swiss 18 carat gold open faced keyless lever pocket chronometer with one minute tourbillon regulator, circa 1940. Made for Ulysse Nardin. Rhodium plated movement, Le Locle Technicum caliber with curved center bridge, narrow Geneva striping decoration, 19 jewels, three armed equidistant Pellaton carriage with lateral Swiss calibrated lever escapement, cut anibal-brass Guillaume balance with 8 adjustments, blued steel balance spring with Phillips outer terminal curve, index regulator with gold scale plate, the pins with micrometric screwed adjustment. Gold hinged cuvette. White enamel dial with Breguet numerals, outer minute divisions, subsidiary seconds and original blued steel Breguet hands. Solid, polished case. Movement signed by Pellaton, dial, case and movement by Nardin. Accompanied by the original leather fitted box.
